A bit past halfway through 2025, there’s been a number of new faces that the Boston brand has introduced us to: the New Balance 2010, the New Balance ABZORB 2000, the cresting New Balance 204L. When it comes to their “Made In” series, however, we’ve more or less come to recognize a select number of models that’ll get the premium treatment. Just when we thought we had them figured out, New Balance is throwing a curveball: queuing up the 1300 for a “Harbor Grey” edition.
Though the silhouette already made a “Grey Days” appearance earlier in the year, we had imagined it was one largely dictated by the calendar; crashing in for its ultra-luxurious “Made in JP” edition that only drops twice a decade. In truth, perhaps that moment was just a signal of things to come. Bearing “New Balance Classic” branding on its tongue, the shoe here aims at tackling its everlasting appeal as an everyday runner, fittingly rocking a grey-heavy look that’s become a brand trademark and can be credibly compared to the equally everlasting New Balance 574.
