It’s understandable that Eric Avar’s Air Flightposite never got the love it deserved, largely due to the popularity of the Air Foamposite. With a zippered enclosure and a high-top design, Flightposites weren’t quite the everyday-wear option, although streetwear trends and once again embraved the high-top basketball shoe look.
The Air Flightposite never really had that turning point moment like the Foamposite did with 2012’s “Galaxy”. Rather, it continues to live one as a cult classic with Nike exploring new colorway opportunities for the modern day. Enter the “Dusty Cactus” colorway, one that could very well have been an OG release from 1999.
This first look captured by Sneaker News (on none other than the PDX airport carpet) reveals the upcoming release, revealing the blue/purple iridescent upper finish similar to what we’ve seen in the Metallic Gold and Eggplant colorways. The upper is matched with black neoprene zipper enclosures and bottoms to maintain that OG appeal.
Currently, a release date is expected for the Summer 2025 shopping season. Stay tuned for store list updates, official images, and more.
