First Look At The Nardwuar x Nike SB Dunk Low

A first look at one of two upcoming Nardwuar x Nike SB Dunk Low collaborations have been revealed.

Hundreds of artists in the past few decades have been rendered flabbergasted by Nardwaur, the Human Serviette, seemingly part interviewer and part federal agent given his penchant for uncovered the most hidden of secrets. However, come the closing quarter of this year, Beaverton will flip the script on the Canadian product, placing him in the spotlight for a change as the public sees the release of a Nardwuar Nike SB Dunk Low.

The shoe is defined by a palette of “University Red / Black / Yellow Strike / Deep Royal Blue,” most likely speaking to the tones that make up Nardy’s trademark plaid pattern taken from his iconic Scottish Bonnet. The first outlet to break this news, Sneaker Files, spells out that we should expect the color blocking displayed in their mock-up render, which would be an all-over patterned treatment flanked by a black Swoosh and sole unit. Though picking out an individual (a non-skater, non artist at that) is a bit of a rare move for a Nike SB Dunk collaboration, Nardwuar as a cultural product certainly aligns with the wide-ranging tapestry of former partners: the Wizard of Oz, Futura, and Visty are just some of the names they’ve tapped in recent memory.
