Nike is right at the starting line with its upcoming 40th Anniversary Dunk Low releases. With the satirical panda parading around the shoes, the Swoosh is almost leaning into the joke by bringing the furry bear to the spotlight, offering a variety of stylish iterations that include glossy vinyls, hairy exteriors, and even a blind box release.
Panda Dunks aside, the Swoosh is staying true to the versatility of the Dunk with this elegant and exotic take on the low-top model. Covered in a full croc-skin textured upper, these Dunks are less playful panda and more high-end luxury with its approach, almost as if Nike made a shoe out of a pricey hand-bag. There exists a bit of a sporty origin with the classic nylon on the padded tongue as well as a cotton mesh interior lining, so these aren’t all about business.
